The central task of CEWS is the scientifically sound development, verification and evaluation of efficient instruments and structures for the realization of equal opportunities and for the implementation of gender mainstreaming in the field of science. On this basis, we fall back on a strategically customised scope of services, the elements of which are tightly tailored to the requirements and demands of the different target groups. Within the service areas, we work on trend setting projects in the competence field of “Women in Science and Research” – coupled with the objective to set quality-tested standards. 

Our offer is based on four pillars. From consultation to evaluation, we provide service from one source. However, the services cannot be considered isolated from one another, but are tightly interconnected. The project oriented organisation ensures a high degree of transparency between the individual business fields. Thus, the know-how within the team increases more rapidly and the efficiency of services can be further advanced.  

In the framework of the gathered experiences and in view of the altered external basic conditions, CEWS service package has been dynamically developed during the last years. In the future, we will continue to anticipate the requirements of our target groups and develop our scope of services accordingly. 

The exchange of knowledge will be advanced through publications. At present, about 2500 subscribers get detailed and user oriented information on current topics and deadlines from the electronic newsletter, which is issued 10 times per year. In the “cews.publik” and “cews.Beiträge” series, we publish our own scientific findings and document best-practice examples. In the framework of the cews.Positionen, we participate in up to date discussions concerning issues of science policies.
